Brave the Shave
As you may have read in our previous blog post, Vantastec’s specialist conversion expert, Chris has braved the shave.
Chris underwent the clippers to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of his mother on 04/07/18.
We think he looks pretty good, don’t you?
At the time of this article, he has raised a brilliant £375 – that’s 50% more than his target goal!
So, how was the experience?
I was very apprehensive about having it done yesterday. I was second guessing everything. I’ll jump out of a plane, no problem at all, but I was very nervous about having it done.
It feels really weird. Looking at the pictures and in the mirror, it’s just strange. I resemble one of my cousins without the hair! It was a bit surreal having it done; watching all the clumps of hair falling out.
Jon went straight through the middle, Colin went straight across the top, and there are loads of people looking at the pictures. They were after my eyebrows yesterday which wasn’t going to happen unless someone donated £1,000 to the charity!
I went out with my mates yesterday and they said:
“Chris, it actually suits you!”
My ears seem about 10 sizes bigger but it doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would.
I’m past my target online. I’m waiting for the text donations to come through and I have cash donations to bank as well. I raised more money than I thought.
