A message from Managing Directors, Colin and Gareth.
February 22nd, 2026, Vantastec Ltd will celebrate its 20th birthday – and we couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.
Based in Caerphilly, South Wales, we’ve spent the past two decades building Vantastec into one of the UK’s largest and most trusted suppliers of temperature-controlled vehicle conversions, double cab vans, and bespoke builds for businesses and local authorities across the country.
Since founding the company back in 2006, we’ve grown from operating out of my spare bedroom to running a 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Ystrad Mynach, which we were delighted to purchase from our landlords in 2023.
That same year, we became an employee-owned business by forming an Employee Ownership Trust, something I consider one of our proudest milestones.
Twenty years is no small feat in our industry.
During that time, we’ve completed over 5,000 conversions for more than 10,000 organisations across the UK. From village butchers and independent traders to major distributors and government bodies.
None of this would have been possible without the continued support of you, our customers, and the dedication of our incredible team.
We’ve faced our fair share of challenges over the years. The global financial crisis of 2008–2010 tested us early on, while the pandemic in 2020 – and its lasting effects – brought challenges none of us could have predicted.
Add to that the uncertainty of Brexit and the recent 2025 Autumn Budget, and you realise how much resilience UK businesses have needed to survive.
Still, we’ve always believed in looking forward.
Thankfully, 2026 has started on a very positive note. There’s a renewed sense of confidence among buyers. An attitude of “all that is behind us, let’s get back to business.” That energy is contagious, and it’s why we’re more optimistic than ever about what lies ahead.
With a record number of vehicles already on order for conversion, we’re confident this will be our biggest and best year yet. The past 20 years have been full of learning, adaptation, and growth. But we truly believe the best is still to come for Vantastec.
